Riassunto analitico
This thesis investigates gender dimension in the relationship between the presence of female in top management positions and firm performance. The aim is to empirically verify whether a woman with a very authoritative position in a firm is able to affect the quality and the value of the corporate decision-making process and, as a consequence, corporate performance, calculated referring to EBITDA, ROA, ROE, Added value per employee, Number of employees and Revenue. Using a large sample of 10512 active Italian companies in the 2013-2022 period, we conclude that the female presence in leadership is not statistically and significantly related to corporate performance for this sample. These findings were achieved after the evaluation of the coefficients obtained through the regression analysis.
