The aim of this thesis is to carry out an analysis based on specialized legal language implemented by social networks in the general context of a deep transformation of complementary societies and of the political universe since the rise of the Internet has strongly innovated the way to communicate in the political domain. The purpose of this work is to deepen the knowledge of the variety of tools which the Web put at the disposal of the political world. Another goal is to investigate on the practical purposes usage and how they deal with the media environment. Political communication has seen important changes during the last few years, when new methods of communication strategies, created thanks to the Web 2.0, found their way through traditional medias producing a digital political revolution. Thanks to the development of social networks and communication platforms, politicians changed their way to communicate their ideas and regulations with citizens. The increase in the use of media in politics lead to the “media coverage process”, such as a necessary step-by-step practice which led to define social media as a power source, an influence and control where national and international events occur. This work is divided into three sections: in the first one the notions of “Discourse” and “Political Discourse” are introduced and explained. They include a specific typology of language which is involved in the legal fields’ texts. In the second place we will talk about political communication as well as online communication, examining the modalities and the features of all the social networks used for political transmission, then the concept of popularisation of law will be introduced, by which citizens not only have the possibility to enter the communication network, but they also have the chance to participate to decision-making processes and they have a direct and close link with politicians. In the second chapter, we will explain all the communicative and persuasive strategies used for political speeches and during elections as well as theoretic frameworks and in particular we will highlight the software needed to the corpora analysis. By doing so, the most frequent words will be extrapolated. The third and last chapter will deal with and analyse the corpora used. In this way we can notice which type of adaptation to today’s language was carried out thanks to popular and persuasive strategies’ support.
