Abstract
During my staying in Shanghai I had the time to see and savor the air of an irreversible and drastic changing. The noise of the yards that resound every day in the streets of the city is the sound of the mutation in place.
The skyscapes of the Pudong area, on the right side of the river, are the face of the huge projects of renovation that China has witnessed in these last decades.
The fiscal, economic and industrial plans, first of all, gave the possibility to invest and transfer capital inside the boundaries of the country, having as result the magnificent growth which is characterizing the new China.
Not by chance, one of the most demanded and established business in town is the advice offered by the law firms which are involved in promoting and assisting the entry of foreign enterprises in the Chinese market and the opposite. In order to plant solid roots and to be competitive it is necessary the help of these specialized offices; the abyssal differences in culture, in regulations and in the way to do affairs do not leave choices for those who want to venture into the opening of a business.
My interest has fallen on how it was possible to reach such a high degree of globalization in few years and what were the key steps which helped China’s rise. How was possible that China, a retrograde and communist country until thirty years ago, has become the second economic world power? What was the evolution of business models? And what is the actual situation?
