Riassunto analitico
This study, expanding upon Felten et al. (2021) Artificial Intelligence Occupational Exposure (AIOE) index, explores the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on various occupations in Italy. Applying a methodology akin to Felten et al., this master thesis findings reveal a noteworthy correlation between the prevalence of cognitive skills in occupations and their susceptibility to AI exposure. Occupations emphasizing cognitive abilities are found to be more exposed to AI integration, while those relying on physical and psychomotor abilities exhibit lower levels of susceptibility. These results offer crucial insights into the nuanced dynamics of AI influence on the Italian workforce, shedding light on potential challenges and opportunities in the evolving landscape of technology-induced job transformations. Policymakers, industry stakeholders, and educators can leverage these findings to formulate adaptive strategies that align with the evolving needs of the Italian job market in the era of artificial intelligence.
