Abstract
The thesis focuses on the optimization of a thermal model to accurately reproduce the behavior of tires. This objective is achieved through the process of "fitting" temperature curves obtained from indoor tests. The accurate representation of the thermal dynamics of tires is of fundamental importance, as it directly impacts vehicle performance. The methodology employed is based on the analysis and interpretation of experimental data collected in the laboratory, followed by the creation of a mathematical model. By utilizing optimization techniques, efforts are made to refine the thermal model to minimize the error between the predicted temperature curves and those actually measured. The results obtained constitute a significant contribution to the automotive industry, as they assist in the development and construction of tires, enabling testing without the need for on-track vehicle testing, thus reducing costs and saving time. |
