Abstract
The present thesis deals with the electroless deposition of metal films on non-conductive substrates. In addition to a "Palladium-free" activation of the substrate, a study was carried out on the functionalization of the deposit ,more precisely to obtain metal surfaces with chiral imprint. This is due to the addition of chiral organic molecules in the deposition bath, in this case the enantiomers (D and L) of tartaric acid. The presence of chiral surfaces opens up possible applications in the fields of spin-dependent electrochemistry (SDE) and chiral-induced spin selectivity effect (CISS). The surfaces obtained were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, circular dichroism and electrochemical analysis.
