Today’s supply chains have been characterized by turbulent and unpredictable events, like pandemic Covid-19. In this complex situation, vulnerability and resilience issues have become very popular not only for scholars, but for everyone, especially for fashion managers that usually deal with fast markets. For this reason, the main aim of this paper is analyzing how the fashion industry has reacted to this extra-ordinary event, that has changed the everyday life of people and companies. One of the main responses to these disruptive events could be building a resilient supply chain, which is the object of analysis of this paper. In order to complete this examination, in the last section of this paper will be investigated the case of Giorgio Armani Operations SpA, with a focus on its main reaction strategies, in response to this worldwide pandemic. Thanks to data analysis of suppliers’ delay, together with their lead time, further conclusion of company’s capability to adapt to this unexpected situation will be provided.
