Abstract
This dissertation has the purpose of studying the seismic behaviour of a post-tensioned cables reinforced concrete precast structure with rocking walls, while the most significant parameters of the system vary.
The vertical structural elements, i.e. precast reinforced concrete rocking walls and reinforced concrete columns, are connected one to each other through hysteretic seismic dampers.
After defining the force-displacement behaviour of the structure, through the determination of its capacity curve, that is function of the geometrical and mechanical characteristics of the structure itself, the seismic demand corresponding to the life safeguard limit state (SLV) has been evaluated.
Subsequently parametric analysis have been performed to evaluate the influence of the variation of a single parameter on the capacity curve, while keeping all of the others constant.
As aforementioned, the aim of these analysis is to highlight which are the most representative geometrical and mechanical features of the system and how latter affect the seismic verification.
The following representative parameters have been taken into account: the dampers resistance, intended as yield force, their initial elastic stiffness, the walls length, the inter-floor height of the structure and the initial prestressing force of the strands.
The results are presented using curves and usage abacuses, that highlight which is the maximum seismic mass bearable by the structure for each value assumed by the parameter from time to time object of study.
