Abstract
Nowadays a radical change is needed in order to fight against the rising global issues, which include for instance climate alterations, environmental devastation, consumption waste, gender inequalities and unemployment rate. For these and other reasons, people must meet the new requirements of society in terms of social trends, economic development and environmental sustainability, as these are becoming the main important goals of the global agenda. The individuals more liable to face and deal with this transformation are part of the new generation formed by young people, especially workers and students. They have been chosen for changing the future of society and, as a consequence, they need to develop the most appropriate knowledges about the current social evolution in combination with pronounced entrepreneurial attitude. In order to improve and foster these traits a more accurate examination is needed: indeed, the sustainability approach experienced and studied by young individuals must be enhanced and potentially implemented looking at the business world. The success of this practice is also influenced by the entrepreneurial traits of young students and workers and consequently it can be interesting the assessment of their personal feelings and attitudes, family or educational background and eventually the previous working experiences.
In sum, in order to support the claim that young people can change the business world in economic, social and environmental terms, it is necessary a more in-depth analysis regarding their entrepreneurial orientations, education and future intentions. Then, it follows their engagement and motivation in sustainable matters and future willingness to start their own venture or working for one which approaches the production, distribution and consumption processes but with more sustainable concern. In this way it possible to see and highlight the main distinctive characteristics of a young generation with a sustainable, social and environmental cause to achieve.
