Abstract
In this thesis, hybrid Waterfall and Agile models for software development are analyzed and studied to explore a feasible solution to apply this kind of approach to big Companies' workflow. Is there a way to conciliate the leaders' Waterfall approach and their need to establish due dates to deliver new software features with a software development process that needs Agile's flexibility to minimize the risk of having a high cost of changes? The study addresses this question and identifies a possible solution to implement a hybrid approach in a big Company whose main business is not software development. To this aim, it has firstly been conducted a systematic review of the literature on Agile, Waterfall, and Agile and Waterfall hybrid models for software development. Then it is introduced a feasible solution established in Baker Hughes development teams in the past four months. |
