Abstract
The following thesis is the result of an internship project carried out in the Test area of the Nonantola headquarters of Bosch Rexroth Oil Control S.p.A, a world leader in the field of hydraulics in particular for the development and manufacture of hydraulic components for mobile applications.
The purpose of this thesis is the study and optimization of the valves for the support and control of the load for mobile crane.
In order to carry out this work, first of all, the main characteristics of the Counterbalance valves were studied.
In the second phase, the valves under examination were assembled, tested in the valve test benches and tested in different working conditions following the relative procedures.
In the end, after the replacement of some internal components of the valves, the same tests were repeated with the aim of verifying the improvement in performance under the same working conditions.
On the basis of the collected data, the results of the different configurations were analyzed and compared in order to obtain the optimal valve configuration as it will be shown in my report.
