Riassunto analitico
Il mio elaborato affronta principalmente due tematiche ricorrenti in tutte le aziende produttive odierne: le distinte base come strumento per gestire la complessità, e la Variety Reduction Program come strumento di razionalizzazione della tale. Nel mio elaborato i due concetti, dopo essere stati introdotti, si integrano, fino a giungere ad un caso pratico di come sono stati usati da me stesso in azienda, ai fini di razionalizzare una proliferazione di componentistiche che andava avanti da decenni.

Abstract
My paper deals primarily with two recurring themes in all manufacturing companies today: bills of materials as a tool for managing complexity, and the Variety Reduction Program as a tool for rationalizing such. In my paper, the two concepts, after being introduced, are integrated, culminating in a practical case of how they were used by myself in the company for the purpose of rationalizing a proliferation of components that had been going on for decades.
