Abstract
The goal of this thesis is the implementation of an experimental setup for the validation of control algorithms for decentralized groups of flying robots.
In particular, it considers a group of three quad-copter (Parrot AR Drone).
In the first phase it is described the implementation of the experimental setup.
The toolbox, present in Matlab and ROS, are tested with a single robot, and then implement communication and control of the three robots, connected to the PC via the network using routers and wifi.
ROS are available for different toolbox to control the Parrot AR Drone. So that the robot can perform the desired tasks, they must be able to know their position all the times (make, namely, the localization). It will implement the localization based on recognition of the surrounding environment (that is, without adding artificial features).
The experimental setup will be used to validate innovative control strategies, for obtaining complex behaviors for the multi-robot system.
