Nowadays, organizations are focusing on using different digital technologies to develop their supply chains which also improves the entire business. Supply chain’s function is becoming strategically resilient and digital technologies are helping also in creating value. This research will talk about the past, present and futuristic prospects of the usage of digital technologies in supply chains management. Additionally, five technologies will be discussed: artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, machine learning, cloud computing and data analytics. Out of all these technologies, the advantages, disadvantages and foresights will be seen from the perspective of supply chain. The results chapter will be based on a case study made on Amazon regarding the utilization of digital technologies in their supply chains. The aim of this research was to identify the type and level of the digital technologies that Amazon is using or about to use, and to list the skilled advantages and disadvantages of these technologies. The outcomes of this research illustrate that digital technologies are expressively improving the process of supply chains in countless ways. In spite of this, these technologies are still in their early stages and under development.
