Riassunto analitico
Il tema di ricerca riguarda la “private label”, come fenomeno di tendenza e crescente sviluppo all'interno dell'offerta distributiva della grande distribuzione organizzata. In materia di store brands si sono definiti: contenuti, obiettivi, leve e strategie di segmentazione, adottabili da parte dei distributori. Si è delineato un quadro del panorama distributivo nazionale, con riferimento alle principali insegne operanti sul territorio. Dopodichè, è stata studiata la dinamica evolutiva dei rapporti verticali tra grande distribuzione ed industria di marca nei rapporti di fornitura, evidenziando: lo scenario in cui i due soggetti si trovano ad operare, le implicazioni ed infine le prospettive prossime future che si designano per entrambi, all’interno del processo di filiera. In questo contesto si è inserito il discorso del “prodotto tipico”. Esso diviene un elemento strategico nell'assortimento offerto dei prodotti a marchio privato di fascia "premium" ed un "elemento distintivo" dell'offerta assortimentale del distributore, esprimendo da un lato, l'attenzione attuale al concetto di territorialità e dall'altro, apportando valore sia al retailer, che al background di riferimento. In questo circuito virtuoso generatore di ricchezza e sostenitore delle diverse realtà ed identità territoriali, si sono analizzate le ragioni del successo del "tipico" nell'offerta assortimentale della grande distribuzione organizzata e le prospettive di crescita futura, in ottica di esportazione da parte dei gruppi distributivi, come esperti e garanti del "made in Italy" all'estero.

Abstract
The topic of research is the "private label", as a growing phenomenon of development in the offer distribution of the large retail chains.
In terms of store brands, it has been defined: contents, objectives, levers and segmentation strategies, that can be adopted by the distributor. It has outlined a framework of national retail landscape, with reference to the main retailers in the area. Then, it has been studied the evolutionary dynamics of vertical relations between big retailers and industries in supply relationships, highlighting: the scenario in which the two parties have to operate, and finally the implications of the forthcoming future prospects, which are designated for both, within the process chain.
In this context, it is added to the discourse of the "typical product". It becomes a strategic element of differentiation in the premium segment of private label and a "distinctive element" in the assortment of distributor, expressing on the one hand, attention to the concept of territoriality and on the other hand, adding value to both the retailers that the background reference. In this virtuous circle generator of wealth and supporter of the different realities and territorial identities, it has been analyzed the reasons for the success of the "typical" offers in the assortment of large retail chains and the prospects for future growth, with a view to export by retailers, like experts guarantors of "Made in Italy" abroad.
