Abstract
The success of a complex automotive CFD simulation is highly influenced by the process that defines and implements each stage of the simulation project. In the automotive industry, the variety and diversity of the geometries provided by different costumers along with the need for fast and automated workflows leads to the necessity of setting up a series of systematic actions aimed to guarantee reliable results and consistency between different projects. The purpose of this thesis is to show and analyse a process developed for a road vehicle’s aerodynamic and thermal study, from the geometry preparation of each component to the case preparation that precedes the simulation itself with a special focus on process automation. |
