Da decenni la fluidodinamica computazionale (CFD) gioca un ruolo importante nello studio dei fenomeni naturali e dei loro comportamenti.
From the last decades, the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) plays an important role in the study of the natural phenomena and their behaviours. The porpouse of this thesis is to investigate the interaction phenomena between atmospheric wind and ocean surface, as a matter of fact turbulent wind-wave interactions have significant impacts on many applications, such as weather models in the marine environment, navigation safety of ocean vehicles, offshore energy harvesting, and forecasting of extreme wind waves, but their underlying physical mechanisms are still poorly understood.\\ Thanks to the CFD is possible to observe and study thoroughly the aspects that influence the behaviour of this complicated physicist phenomena, such as momentum and energy transfers between fluids and between the different scales involved. In this project we want to build a robust numerical simulation in order to study the wave generation process, with a simplified Large Eddy Simulation (LES); understand which is the role of the turbulence and how the wind dissipate energy through water waves. These aspects have been investigated with a detailed analysis of the mean velocity profiles and the statistics of the flow
