Riassunto analitico
The present work is focused on the role of emerging markets in an international business context and on the possible strategies that foreign companies (in particular Italian ones) could use to enter in these markets. The study is made up of five main chapters. In the first one is reported the relevance of the argument and the purpose of the study. In the second chapter is provided an overview of what are emerging markets and of which is their importance for the global economy. The third part analyses the internationalization strategies and in particular those that better fit for emerging markets. The fourth chapter presents an overview about India, its economy and its openness toward foreign companies which aim to enter the Indian market. The choice to make a focus on the Indian market is not casual, but it is due to my personal experience in India from mid-August till mid-December. In the fifth chapter it is reported: the importance of the consulting companies in emerging markets and, two internationalization case studies. It has been possible to report these lasts in my study thanks to the three-months internship, from the 4th of September till the 7th of December, that I have performed at Octagona India pvt ltd, a consulting business company. The study ends with my personal conclusion and analysis of the argument.
