The purpose of this paper is to is to study the increasingly important phenomenon of reshoring from a demand-side perspective, that is the analysis of the consumer responses to the reshoring strategy. In particular, the paper conducts an analysis on Italian consumer responses towards reshoring, focusing on the consumer attitudes and considering as well a new element, that is the consumer animosity and the specificity of the host country from which the firm decides to reshore. Therefore, the aim is to understand to what extent consumer sentiment, consumer ethnocentrism and especially consumer animosity towards the host country affect the consumer attitudes towards the company's reshoring decision.
