Riassunto analitico
This paper is about the importance of Team Composition as a success factor in startups and especially in academic spin-offs. After a general introduction on startups and Team Composition taken from already existing literature, a presentation of the Munich Area and its accelerators and incubators is done, and the a specific case study of Freeletics is qualitatively analysed through the conduction of personal interviews. The final aim is to point out the team dynamics in the different growth phases of the startup, helped from a university incubator in the beginning. The general trend discovered is suggesting that people needed to learn a lot after their studies and improve in their work by self-learning. The conclusions lead to the fact that an academic spinoff to be successful needs mentoring in order to create a better performing company. |
