In the framework of an increasing virtualization of the internal combustion engine development process, the softwares adopted by engine manufacturers help the optimization of the performance and reliability. In this thesis, the main objective is to develop a single-cylinder multibody model of the valvetrain designed for the next generation of supercars, using the software AVL Excite PowerUnit. The components of this complex mechanical system are meshed and condensed with the software Altair Hypermesh/Optistruct. The purpose is to perform a dynamic analysis and tune the model to obtain a correspondence between experimental data and the results of the simulation.
