Abstract
The lifting attachments are fondumental projectual elements for the installation of the pressure vessels, characterized by large thicknesses and diameters. In the first part of this work a detailed lifting attachments’ classification is proposed, trying to find a correct first choice of the lifting attachment to be used on the basis of different criteria and practical examples supplied by the company Belleli Energy C.P.E., leader in the global manufacturing of pressure vessels for the oil and gas sector. Later, the work starts to be more detailed about the design and the lifting attachments’verification, analyzing a spreadsheet proposed by the company Belleli Energy C.P.E. to assure, to their custumers, the success of the lifting for a safe implementation of the device without excessive stress. Lasty, using the Excel software and basing on a case study Belleli Enery C.P.E., a methodology to supplement the company’s methodology has been implemented, built on the chapter seven of the american handbook Keith Escoe, “Pressure Vessel And Stacks Field Repair Manual”, achieved in compliance with amarican handbooks and standards ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction), universally recognized references in this area. As a result, a verification methodology is obtained, based on laboratory tests, that provides to the customer clear reading parameters on the lifting attachments efficency.
