The standard formulation of quantum mechanical path integrals in curved space requires non-linear sigma model actions, which introduce interaction vertices with derivatives that bring a series of subtleties in the path integral definition. The present work provides a different approach, by exploring the idea of formulating the fermionic path integral in Riemann Normal Coordinates. This procedure allows to use a linea sigma model action, with an effective potential that stores all the informatons about curved space. The model is developed and succesfully tested by calculating the Type-A trace anomalies of a fermionic conformal field theory up to d=16.
