The dissertation seeks to analyse the current debate on the process of deglobalisation and decoupling that could change the way economies are interconnected and organised. This process has not only economic but also geopolitical implications. It is a subject that is discussed a lot because it would be a change in the evolution of economic systems, after decades of very intense globalization. If the deglobalisation process is confirmed, we will see a process of restructuring economies globally. What we are seeing is a shift in global value chains that are becoming increasingly regional and less and less international. |

Abstract
