Abstract
Game Based Learning is an educational methodology developed between play and learning, given that the latter does not occur only and exclusively in school or formal contexts or in intentionally educational places and does not only concern notions and knowledge. Learning consists of a set of processes and is influenced by multiple factors (social, cultural, emotional, biological etc.). The purpose of our study is to be able to establish whether through the use of the board game (Board Game) it is possible to train and implement transversal skills (soft skills), in our case inherent to the working and working group climate , among healthcare professionals working in teams, within the emergency room. Our desire is therefore to transport the game based learning methodology to the world of emergency-urgency. In our prospective study we took two samples, the experimental group made up of thirteen professionals and the control group made up of fourteen professionals. They were given a questionnaire (Team Climate Inventory, adapted and modified by us) in time one (T1) and time two (T2). The experimental group on a weekly basis, for four consecutive weeks played with two collaborative board games, Pandemic® and Unlock! ®. The results tell us that there is a statistical improvement in the scores for factors in the T2 questionnaires for the experimental group, but this result cannot be fully attributed to our intervention, due to the lack of response to the questionnaire at time T2, by the group of control.
