Obiettivo di questa tesi è l’analisi delle politiche di contesto e regional-specifiche messe in atto in Baviera e che contribuiscono a una crescita sostenibile del Land, in linea con gli obiettivi prefissati dalla strategia Europa 2020.
The aim of this dissertation is the investigation of the framework and region-specific policies implemented in Bavaria that contribute to a sustainable Land growth, in line with the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy. This work is a study of regional policies within a much broader and hierarchically interconnected context, within the framework of the applied research project MORE-Alps. The project has been promoted by the Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia, in collaboration with the DEMB department, in order to provide a comprehensive analysis of the main patterns and differences that characterize the regional development policies of the areas concerned. In line with the aims of the project, the work was divided into a first collective empirical phase, consisting of a both quantitative and textual data recovery. This was followed by a second individual phase of study and analysis of the essential data to be included in the writing to support the thesis. In the writing phase, the general socio-political context was therefore first examined, i.e. the European Union's cohesion policy for the 2014-2020 programming period, the common strategic framework and the funding to promote these objectives allocated through the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), first of which the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Subsequently, a research and examination in more detail of the supporting strategic documents was carried out, translating them from the original language (German) to the vehicular language (English): namely the Partnership Agreement between Germany and the European Commission for the implementation of the ESI funds for the period 2014-2020 and, even more importantly, the Operational Programme of the Bavarian Regional Development Fund for the objective "Investment in Growth and Employment" for the 2014-2020 cycle. At the end of the thesis, a final chapter on sustainability issues and Bavaria's measures towards a low-carbon economy has also been added, alongside with the translations of the table of contents of the two main documents examined as annexes.
