Con la presente tesi di laurea si vuole sottolineare l’importanza dei servizi reali basati sulla conoscenza, come fondamentale forma di supporto all’ internazionalizzazione delle imprese italiane, in particolare piccole e medie.
The present dissertation intends to stress the importance of knowledge- based real services, as significant support to the internationalization process of the Italian companies, especially small and medium- sized. The dissertation is developed in three chapters. After an initial theoretical review about the theories of the internationalization process for the firms, with a specific focus on the Uppsala model, the research is mainly concentrated on the role of knowledge as a form of real service offered by both private and public entities to help the enterprises in the expansion and in the reinforcement of their position in the foreign market. Therefore are presented the different typologies of knowledge and the various form of acquisition of international knowledge. Then, a first differentiation between financial and real services is introduced, after some taxonomies of the last ones are presented and finally the research focus on their role of support and knowledge transfer connected with the internationalization of the companies. It follows an analysis of the Italian exportations and their main destinations, with a specific examination of the opportunities and characteristics which make the German and Bavarian market interesting for some Italian’s export sectors, especially for the agri- food and wine sector. The dissertation continues with a presentation of the Italian Chamber of Commerce based in Munich and the services offered to firms, describing then the event “Gourmet’s Italia 2018”.This service was proposed to the two Italian small and medium- sized companies of the food and wine sector, which addressed to the entity in order to gain a greater stock of knowledge on the Bavarian territory and firms which they wanted to approach. After it is discussed the research methodology applied for the data collection. In fact, a questionnaire was submitted to the two enterprises with the goal of receiving a feedback on the level of helpfulness of the service offered by the Chamber of Commerce and on the effective transfer of a stock of knowledge, necessary to approach and strengthen their presence in the Bavarian market. The dissertation ends with a detailed and comparative analysis of the data collected aimed to finally confirm the crucial role played by the knowledge as support for the internationalization of companies.
