Riassunto analitico
Lo scopo del progetto di tesi “Pianta_La” è quello di aumentare la consapevolezza degli studenti sulle cause e conseguenze dei cambiamenti climatici, solo così riusciranno a comprendere quale potrà essere il loro ruolo nel ridurre i rischi ad essi associati. Oltre il 95% della comunità scientifica riconosce nell’attività umana la principale causa del climate change in atto. Infatti, dall’inizio dell’era industriale a oggi la concentrazione di CO2 nell’atmosfera terrestre è passata da 280 ppmv a circa 400 ppmv. Maggiore è la concentrazione di anidride carbonica e più aumenta l’effetto serra, cioè la quantità di radiazione solare catturata dall’atmosfera e reindirizzata verso la Terra. Le azioni umane influiscono non solo sull’immissione diretta di CO2 in atmosfera, ma anche compromettendo le strutture di sequestro che aiutano a riassorbire questo gas come le foreste, gli oceani e i suoli. “Pianta_La” è sia un’esortazione ad interessarsi seriamente del cambiamento climatico che “la pianta”. Alberi e arbusti del verde urbano hanno, infatti, un importante ruolo di contenimento dell’anidride carbonica che esplicano in due modi: il primo è l’assorbimento di CO2 per via stomatica durante il processo fotosintetico, il secondo è la riduzione di emissioni di CO2 derivante dal risparmio energetico per raffreddare le città. Quasi 4 cittadini europei su 5 vivono in aree urbane e la loro qualità di vita dipende in larga misura dalla qualità dell’ambiente che abitano, in questo contesto emerge l’importanza delle infrastrutture verdi. “Pianta_La” è un gioco competitivo, a squadre, ambientato in un contesto urbano. Gli studenti impegnati nell’attività ludica proposta avranno il compito di coltivare un giardino, cumulando le risorse sole, acqua e nutrienti faranno crescere le piante che diventeranno sempre più validi mezzi di mitigazione e adattamento a inquinamento e cambiamento climatico.

Abstract
The purpose of this dissertation "Pianta _La" is increasing students' awareness of causes and consequences of climate change and therefore helping them understand their role in reducing the risks linked to it. More than 95% of scientists acknowledge that human activity is the main reason for climate change. From the beginning of the industrial era to today, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has gone from 280 ppmv to about 400 ppmv. The higher the concentration of carbon dioxide, the higher the increase of greenhouse effect, that is the quantity of solar radiation captured in the atmosphere and directed towards the Earth.
Human actions affect not only the direct inlet of CO2 in the atmosphere, but they also jeopardise the carbon sequestration structures which help reabsorb this gas, like forests, oceans and soil."Pianta_La" is both an encouragement to be seriously interested in climate change and "the plant". Trees and shrubs play indeed an important role in containing carbon dioxide and they perform it in two ways: first they absorb CO2 through a stomatal process during the photosynthesis phenomenon, secondly they reduce CO2 emissions caused by energy saving to cool down cities. Almost 4 out of 5 European citizens live in cities and their quality of life depends on the environment they live in, so it is clear how important green structures are in this context. “Pianta”_La is a competitive and team game, set in an urban context. Students engaged in the proposed recreational activity will have to cultivate a garden. Putting together the sun, water and nutrient resources, they will grow plants which will become more and more competent means of reduction and adaptation to pollution and climate change
